Sandston Masonic
Lodge has a rich tradition of supporting and
contributing to the Sandston Community. Our members put a
lot of time and effort into this task. Below are just some of the
ways that we help. If you interested in helping with any of these
worthwhile endeavors, please contact the committee chairman
or the Worshipful Master.

Sandston Masonic Lodge has
several fundraisers a year to raise money for charitable donations. We proudly
donate to the following organizations: The
Order of Demolay, The
Jobs Daughters,
The International Order of the
Rainbow for Girls, The
Masonic Home of Virginia, The
Grand Lodge of Virginia Charities,
Sandston Youth
Association and F.I.S.H. The money
raised by our fundraisers also goes to support several Lodge charities like the
Joseph E. Nicolas Scholarship Awards, The
Christmas
Charity Program, local
blood drives and
lodge member and family relief.

2012 Sandston Lodge Committees How can YOU help?
One of the main reasons Sandston 216 is an active lodge is the brethren that take the time to serve on one or more of our committees. But we could do SO MUCH MORE with a few more Brethren! If you havent been back to lodge in a while, helping with a committee is a great way to get yourself back involved. If you are interested in serving on one of these committees, please contact the committee chairman or your Worshipful Master.
BBQ Fundraising Committee Jeff Schmid (Chairman), Wimpy Isgett
Help is needed to plan the event, create, mail and sell tickets, prepare, package and distribute product.
Blood Drive Committee Paul Newbill (Lodge Blood Coordinator)
Help plan and communicate lodge blood drives. Virginia Blood Service group number is 1767.
Buildings and Grounds Committee Andy Hall (Chairman)
Help keep the lodge clean and stocked prior to all meetings and functions.
Child-ID Committee Bobby Mawyer (Chairman), Doug Guthrie, Jeff Schmid
Help with ID kits with the lodges Child ID Computer!
Christmas Charity Committee Doug Guthrie (Chairman), Jeff Schmid, Ed Renick, Pat Harmon
Help with identifying and providing for families in need over the holidays.
FISH Committee Ed Renick (Chairman)
Help us support this program that gives food and other support to our local community.
Golf Tournament Committee Jimmy Burton (Chairman), Andy Hall
Help is needed to plan the event, solicit golfers and sponsors, collect prizes and to help cook and staff the event.
Keep Henrico Beautiful Road Cleanup Bobby Mawyer (Chairman)
Help kept our section of road in the community
clean! Clean up events will be announced.
Scholarship Committee Bill Clark (Chairman), Leon App, Ed Renick
Help find worthy applicants for our Lodge scholarships.
Stewards Committee Jennings Entsminger
This committee is for members who might want to
serve their lodge as line officers in the future.
The primary responsibilities are to help the meals team with dinners for stated
meetings and
help prepare candidates for called meetings.
